Meet Our Founder
Tiffany Baker
Founder & Executive Director, Mama’s Couch Foundation Inc.
Hello, I’m Tiffany, Founder & Executive Director of Mama’s Couch Foundation Inc.
I founded Mama’s Couch Foundation in loving memory of my sister, Ernestine Jackson.
Ernestine had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and heard. She was the person family, friends, and neighbors naturally turned to during life’s happiest moments and its greatest challenges. Whether someone needed encouragement, wisdom, or simply a listening ear, Ernestine created a space where people felt safe to share what was on their hearts.
Her compassion, generosity, and unwavering love became the inspiration behind Mama’s Couch Foundation.
Today, we carry her legacy forward by creating safe spaces for individuals and families to converse, connect with resources, receive community support, and build stronger, healthier lives. Through our Community Conversations, outreach, partnerships, and community connections, we create opportunities for people to be heard, supported, informed, and equipped to move forward.
What began as a way to honor my sister has grown into a commitment to our community: creating spaces where people can pull up a chair, have meaningful conversations, find support, and know they don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone.
Every conversation reminds me why Mama’s Couch began.
Ernestine’s legacy lives on each time someone feels heard, supported, connected, and reminded that their story matters.
Where Conversation Begins and Healing Grows.
Our Mission
Mama's Couch Foundation exists to create safe spaces where individuals and families can engage in meaningful conversations, access educational resources, receive compassionate community support, and build stronger, healthier lives.
Our Vision
To become a trusted community organization that empowers individuals, strengthens families, and inspires hope through education, collaboration, and compassionate service.
Why We Do What We Do
Life can be challenging, and too many people face those challenges feeling alone. Whether someone is experiencing grief, stress, family struggles, financial hardship, or simply needs someone to listen, having a safe place to talk can make all the difference.
At Mama’s Couch Foundation, we believe healing often begins with a conversation. We create welcoming spaces where individuals and families can connect, learn, find hope, and access resources that help them move forward.
Stronger individuals build stronger families, and stronger families create stronger communities.
